We started it out of a simple frustration: tracking shared money felt like either a spreadsheet chore or a cluttered app shouting for attention. So we built something calmer — AI that reads plain English so you never fill out a long form, optional encryption for the entries you want to keep truly private, and ledgers you can share with housemates, a partner, or your whole family without losing sight of your own spending.

Per-entry encryption
Mark any entry as encrypted and its amount and details are sealed with AES-256-GCM. Other members of your household only ever see it locked — even we cannot read it.
Derived from your password
The encryption key is derived from your login password with PBKDF2 and a unique per-entry salt. We store only ciphertext, so there is nothing to leak.
Guarded by default
Passwords are bcrypt-hashed and never stored in plain text. Sessions use signed JWTs. Every query verifies you belong to the ledger before returning a single row.
